Mackage, l’algido mistero ai confini dello spazio
Uno spazio dentro un altro spazio, una porta invisibile che apre un’altra porta, altrettanto invisibile.
Un algido mistero che esercita tutta la seduzione di cui è capace.
Per Pitti Uomo 2020, Mackage assume i connotati di un cubo con due C, l’una rannicchiata dentro l’altra. Più ci si addentra, più i margini si mostrano languidi grazie a luci e specchi che sfondano lo spazio e lo rendono sfuggente.
Due ledwall giocano ad un botta e risposta di riflessi, offrendosi come sfondo per provare i capi: siamo nel cuore della Secret Society, luogo misterioso immerso nella nebbia. È tutto ovattato, ma c’è un ambiente color crema che riscalda ogni passo.
Quando l’incantesimo si dissolve ci ritroviamo all’esterno. Ad attenderci c’è un’installazione con sculture di ghiaccio che invitano ad interagire, prima che anch’esse si dissolvano per sempre.

Mackage, an icy mystery in outer space
Two spaces, one inside the other. An invisible door that opens onto another door, just as invisible.
An ice-cold mystery of seduction and yearning.
For this Pitti 2020 edition, Mackage takes the shape of a double-C cube, with one letter curled up inside the other. The deeper you go, the more the edges blur and fade as the play of light and mirrors break through the space, shifting and evading your grasp.
Two LED walls spar in a game of reflections, offering us a background as we try on the items: we’re in the inner heart of Secret Society, a mysterious place shrouded in fog.
Everything is hushed and muffled, but a warm, cream color follows every step we take.
And when the spell dissolves, we find ourselves outside. An installation of icy sculptures awaits us, inviting our interaction before they too disappear completely.
